About The Big Event

The Big Event is the largest single day of collegiate-led community service in the country! It was brought to SMU's campus in 2018. Hundreds of students signed up to get together and visit a number of service sites throughout the Dallas Metroplex. Students did everything from packing meals to planting gardens. Our leadership team has worked hard every year since then to continually improve and expand on SMU's Big Event, like promoting smaller service projects throughout the year to build even more excitement for the big day. 

Put simply, we're a group of students with a heart for serving others. We hope you'll join us on April 15th, 2023 to make this the best Big Event yet.
